people in your Sphere of Influence
know, like and trust you. They are
the most likely people to give you
their business as well as refer
you to the people they know. But,
for this to happen, you need to
maintain consistent, personal
contact to show them that you
are truly interested in them. Mailings
keep your name in front of people,
but they do not demonstrate your
personal interest in them.
Here
are some proven ways to maintain
personal contact with the people
in your Sphere so that they remember
you:
- Call
them at least every 3 months to
make a personal connection, provide
some professional value, and indicate
your interest in helping.
- Meet
the "A" people in your Sphere
for coffee or lunch. Thank them
for their support. Let them know
how they can continue to support
you.
- Have
a party/social gathering for past
clients and supporters.
- Stop
by their houses to deliver a small,
fun gift. One of my clients delivered
delicious chocolate cookies in
the shape of a house.
Personal
contact separates you from the masses,
because most people are not willing
or able to do so. And, if you don't
maintain consistent, personal contact
with the people in your Sphere,
someone else may. So, call your
past clients and let them know you
care about them. Provide value and
let them know you are available
to assist them. |
